| Once a busy fishing
port, Findhorn village is now the
ideal location for a stress-free holiday by the sea. |
| The horsehoe bay
provides safe water for dinghy sailing and yacht anchorage. The
village is home to the Royal Findhorn Yacht Club (next door to
Tides Edge) and to the "Moray Gig" (pictured), an
"Atlantic Challenge" sail training vessel. |
| Much of the inner
bay, protected as a Nature Reserve, dries to mud flats at low
tide and is delight for the ornithologist. Across the water from
Tides Edge is the Culbin Forest. |
| The North Shore
bounding the Moray Firth has miles of sandy beaches, running all
the way to Burghead. |
|
| Findhorn Village
has a well stocked shop and Post
Office and two pubs, all within easy walking distance of the
Cottage. |
|
| The Findhorn
Foundation and Eco-Village Project lies between the Village and
neighbouring Kinloss . |
